Early Pips Club.
Pre-bookable sessions for early drop off, for children aged 3+. Spaces are limited and a small fee is charged.

9:05 – 9:20 |
Morning Session starts
Children are welcomed into the session by a member of staff. The children wash their hands and take part in our morning nurture time before being encouraged to take part in the activities on offer.

9:20 – 11:45 | Activities. Children select an activity either inside or outside. During the session, children will be invited to join small group focussed activities or other enrichment group activities like Boogie Beat, Serious4Sport, Forest School. (Depending on what is planned for that term). |
9:45 – 10:45 | Snack Bar opens Children can choose whether they would like snack. In small groups of about 4/5, they wash hands and sit with the member of staff on duty to share their snack. The children are encouraged to help themselves from the healthy snacks available including, water, milk and fruit. This is also used as an opportunity to practice sitting at the table and good health and self-care practices |
11:35 | Tidy up Time. Children are given a 5 minute reminder to help with the transition to tidy up time. The children are then encouraged to help tidy away the activities from the morning. |
11:45 – 12:05 |
Group Time.
All of the children come together to enjoy one of the group activities on offer such as story time, or nursery rhymes. For those staying for the afternoon, tables are laid for lunch. For those children going home, as their parent/carer arrive, a member of staff will bring their child out to greet them. Children arriving for the afternoon session are welcomed in. |
12:05- 12:35 |
Afternoon session starts with lunch.
Children are sent to wash their hands and encouraged to collect their lunch box from the trolley and find their placemat at the table. The children are supported by members of staff for lunch. Once the children have finished eating, they are able to go and enjoy a quiet activity such as drawing, reading a book or listening to a story.

Nurture Time.
Younger children who are arriving for the afternoon, wash hands and join their friends for nurture group to say ‘Hello’ and talk about the activities on offer for the afternoon and any news to share.

12:50 – 2:45 | Activities. Children select an activity either inside or outside. During the session, children will be invited to join small group focussed activities other externally provided activities. |

Snack.
After washing their hands, children can choose to enjoy afternoon snack. This is either in small groups as with the morning routine or depending on the activities and plan for the afternoon, it can sometimes be offered as a group at story time.

Group Time.
All of the children come together to enjoy one of the group activities on offer such as story time, singing or nursery rhymes. At the end of the session, the children will be brought out by a member of staff to greet their parents/carer.

Focussed Activities
During the week, there will be regular focussed activities and enrichment groups … Small Group Work – working with small groups of children on a focussed activity from numbers and phonics to turn taking games (Spirals, Numberland, Sparkles etc) Action Kids/Boogie Beat/Serious4Sport – an active PE/dance session to music. Forest School – In small groups, children will get to experience the fun and adventures of Forest School held on site.
