8.00am - 9.15am Breakfast Club
9.15am - 11.45am Morning Session
11.45am - 12.30pm Lunch Club
12.30pm - 15.00pm Afternoon Session

£7.00 per 2.5 hr session
£2.50 to stay for a packed lunch
£4.00 Breakfast Club session, £3.50 for each additional child. Price includes breakfast
At what age can my child attend Little Pippins ?
From two and a half however they need to attend with a parent until the term in which they turn three.
When does child funding start?
The term after your child reaches three years old, your child is funded here for five 2.5 hr sessions, for a total of 38 weeks per year
Does my child have to be out of nappies?
Ideally, it would be better for the staff and child but it doesn't always happen and the staff are well equipped to change nappies.
When my child starts Pre-school, do I have to provide anything?
We would like you to bring in a healthy snack to share with the other children, e.g .Fruit, Cheese or Vegetables. We would like the children to bring spare indoor slippers/shoes/plimsolls so that we can change shoes after being in the garden. Equally wet weather clothing, wellies/coats, will be needed so that children can play freely in the garden on cooler days. If your child attends when we hold our P.E session a change of suitable P.E Clothes is required.
What if my child wants to attend for additional sessions?
If the provision has the spaces available, you can 'top-up' with extra sessions
Are all the staff checked by the relevant authorities?
Yes, all members of staff are police checked in line with current Ofsted requirements.
What qualifications do the staff hold?
All members of staff hold a First Aid Certificate. The play leader has been working in this pre-school for 15 years, she and two members of staff have gained a Diploma in Pre-School Practice (Childcare & Education) equivalent to NVQ3. The play leader is currently training towards a Degree in Foundation Stage Childcare and Education (NVQ4). New members of staff are encourage to gain qualifications as soon as possible. Existing members of staff continually attend relevant courses.
Where do most of the children who are attending Little Pippins, go to school?
The majority of the children go to our local partnership school, Harwell Primary, The Styles, Harwell. However, we do have children who go to schools in Didcot, Chilton and other surrounding villages. Harwell School has a foundation class which will offer your child a part-time place at the age of 4 years old if you wish. Your child could stay at Little Pippins until they start school as a rising five year old, please inform the relevant school of your decision.
What is the breakfast club?
The Breakfast Club is open to any child aged three to eleven years and exists to give children a warm, safe and friendly environment from 8.00am to 9.15am, Monday to Friday.
